When to Consult a Doctor

Contact your doctor immediately if you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, or irregular heartbeat. These symptoms could indicate serious heart problems. Also, seek immediate medical attention if you faint or feel lightheaded.

Side Effects Requiring Medical Attention

Report any new or worsening side effects to your physician. This includes, but isn’t limited to: severe dizziness, cold extremities, swelling in your ankles or feet, unusual fatigue, or mental confusion. These could signal potential complications requiring adjustments to your medication or further investigation.

If you experience persistent nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea that interferes with your ability to take the medication, contact your doctor. Similarly, unexplained weight gain or loss warrants a consultation.

Regular blood pressure and heart rate monitoring are recommended while taking Metoprolol tartrate. Report any significant changes to your doctor during your scheduled checkups.
