Severe allergic reactions: Watch for hives, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing, or dizziness. These are serious and require immediate medical attention.
Signs of liver damage: Jaundice (yellowing of your skin or eyes), dark urine, unusual fatigue, abdominal pain, or loss of appetite warrant immediate medical evaluation.
Signs of serious infection: If your symptoms worsen despite treatment, such as persistent fever, worsening cough, severe headache, or increased pain, seek medical advice. Don’t delay.
Gastrointestinal problems: While mild nausea or diarrhea is common, severe or persistent vomiting, bloody diarrhea, or severe stomach cramps need prompt medical attention. These could indicate a serious complication.
Neurological effects: Unusual dizziness, severe headache, confusion, seizures, or changes in vision require immediate medical assessment.
Skin reactions: Severe skin rashes, blistering, peeling skin, or skin discoloration beyond a mild reaction need attention from your doctor.
Clostridium difficile (C. diff) infection: Watch for severe, persistent diarrhea that may be watery or bloody. This is a potentially serious complication and needs medical treatment.
